Christmas Decorations

Here we are, one week until Christmas. (Until Boxing Day, really...)

We are all decorated for Christmas. Well, we never got to outside, but things are so busy, we're just counting that as a "not-going-to-happen-this-year" thing. Like so many things in life - "maybe next year"

It doesn't *feel* alot like Christmas we are finding. Jer and I have talked about why that may be.

1- Neither one of us are near our families.
2- He is so BUSY he doesn't have time to "feel" Christmas yet.
3- He is so busy that I am not feeling like Christmas yet.
4- There hasn't been any snow yet (this is my reason, not his... growing up in Arizona, snow is not really a big part of Christmas anyway)

Anyway, it's Christmas whether it feels like it or not. We'll celebrate with all we've got anyway! Happy Birthday to the King of kings!!

This is the base of our banister. This little guy greets us first thing in the morning.

This is Santa with our unity candle.

Here is a close up of the gum drop string that Jer and I made together. What fun!

This is our tree - simple and beautiful - speaking of which, I bet it needs to be watered... The pellet stove is just to the left of that sign on the easel - needless to say, our big green baby needs lots to drink to stay alive!!

Here are our "love monkeys". They came to be at our wedding (where they sat at our head table). From there, they have participated in 4 wedding receptions, and even a few days away. They love to celebrate with us :)

Mary, Joseph, 2 wisemen, and an angel - reminding us of of the first Christmas.
